What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable athletic clothing that facilitates movement. We generally practice in bare feet although you may prefer to wear socks. Indoor athletic shoes are recommended for Core Align and TRX.
Do I need to bring anything?
You do not need to bring your own mat, but are welcome to do so if you like. We also encourage you to bring your own water bottle. You may choose to bring indoor gym shoes if you will be utilizing the Core Align or TRX. While we cannot be responsible for items stored at Centered on North, for your convenience you may leave a pair of indoor gym shoes at the studio in one of the storage units.
Where should I park?
Metered parking is available on Hudson Avenue and North Avenue immediately in front of the studio. Free street parking is available on Cleveland, Hudson and Sedgewick north of North Avenue between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.
What is your cancellation policy?
Centered on North requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or there will be a full service charge.
I am recovering from an injury. Can you work with me?
Yes, we are experienced in creating options and exercise modifications for people dealing with injuries, chronic pain and physical limitations. Please consult your physician for approval prior to beginning your training with us.
I am new to Pilates. How should I begin?
Check out our Intro Pack Special. As a new client you are invited to purchase a Welcome Package of three private sessions at a reduced cost. This package offers a gateway to understanding optimal alignment, Pilates cueing and basic choreography. If you have particular challenges or past or current injuries, these session are an opportunity to learn how to safely modify the exercises frequently practiced in group sessions.
