Amy’s passion for movement first led her to the field of rehabilitation. She is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist who graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. Amy discovered Pilates during her own rehabilitation following an athletic injury. Pilates provided her with a positive movement experience which allowed her to build strength without aggravating previous injuries. She also noted additional benefits including improved body awareness, self awareness, flexibility and balance. Amy realized she could help even more people outside of the health care arena and was thus inspired to complete a 600 hour comprehensive Pilates instructor training program through Pilates Artistry. Amy welcomes all ability levels and will adapt and evolve exercises to fit your individual needs. She encourages people with a history of injury or other conditions to not be deterred but rather to explore the many ways Pilates may inspire you!
