Katie has experienced a life-long love affair with the art of movement. She started taking dance lessons at ~age 2 and then in middle school she transitioned over into the world of figure skating. She was first introduced to yoga and Pilates in high school, where she learned these activities were not only impactful on their own, but when utilized for cross-training, transformed her flexibility & overall skating performance.
She taught figure skating in high school, but stopped while attending Northwestern University. After graduating, she realized how much she missed teaching and mentoring students, and in early 2012 she completed her RYT-200 hr yoga training at Yoga Now in Chicago. Then in pursuit of her other passion, she completed her Body Arts and Science International (BASI) Pilates comprehensive teacher training in spring 2013. She works with clients to help them reach their full potential while maintaining proper mechanics and awareness. Her goal is that in each session they will find new insights that empower them to create lasting, positive changes.
